U.S. Filmmaker Repeatedly Detained By American Government, Laptop & Camera Seized
Laura Poitras, an academy award nominated documentary filmmaker, is detained for questioning each and every time she enters the United States. Her laptop and camera have been seized for weeks at a time and the information they hold copied, all without any explanation. Poitras' only offense is documenting the post-9/11 practices of the U.S. government and national security structure.
